Yes. Combining chemical peels with microneedling or PDGF Skin Rejuvenation is a highly effective approach to addressing both active acne and the scarring it leaves behind for more comprehensive results.

Acne occurs when pores become clogged with oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells. When the skin heals from breakouts, collagen disruption in the dermis can leave behind pigmented marks or textural scars.

While significant improvement is achievable, complete elimination of deep acne scars depends on their type and depth. Most patients see a dramatic reduction in scar visibility through a consistent professional treatment plan.

Microneedling is not recommended during active breakouts as it can spread bacteria and worsen inflammation. Chemical peels are a more appropriate treatment option for patients with active acne.
